Dr. Laura Schlessinger wrote a book in 1999 called The Ten Commandments: The Significance of God’s Laws in Everyday Life. In her section on the Sabbath she encourages married couples to make love.
The infamous Dr. Ruth Westheimer, raised an Orthodox Jew, said something similar in an npr interview. She said, that, “within marriage — within marriage! — sex is a good deed.” A mitzvah.
