This is not my tree. My tree was eaten by the mulch truck not five minutes after my husband dragged it out to the curb.
This is the tree at the Residence Inn in Abilene. I have spent many nights at hotels in Abilene so that I don’t have to stay at the Hamlin Pied Piper Inn in Hamlin, which posts this sign in its rooms: “Please don’t clean your birds in the sink.”
