HI 57/ LO 40, showers developing overnight
In last Sunday’s photo essay about the B&B, I put up a photo of the sign at the entrance to Hilmar Jung Road.
There was also a note from our hosts about this country road: “If you enjoy walking or running, check out Hilmar Jung Rd. It is one of the prettiest country lanes in Gillespie County. Turn left on Crabapple, go 400 yards to Palo Alto Creek and find Jung Rd. Livestock graze the bar ditches for a short stretch on this lane.”
Before I checked out of the bed and breakfast, I checked out Hilmar Jung Road.
The road is only 1 mile. It gently rolls. Up at the top, it connects with the highway to Enchanted Rock. At the bottom, near the creek, there’s this.
And along the way:
The End.
