Can you hear them, cawing across the late-winter sky? It is a murder of crows, and they are taking over this site for the next month or so. They know my book of poetry for children, Rainbow Crow, releases in April, and they believe I owe them a life-debt for every poem I wrote.
To be fair, they aren’t wrong.
Starting Wednesday, March 2, the crows roosting here will share some of their favorite corvid-friendly poems. Then in April, after the book comes out, I hope to share a few more of my own crow poems. In the meantime I need to keep my feathered overlords stocked with sparkly trinkets and tasty treats.
So until we meet again, may you see twelve crows at sunset and receive gratefully whatever fortune they bring.
