When a Poem Finds You

Today I’m writing at Substack about a poem that found me, one titled “Valentine’s Chai.” It’s both here, in the section of my website titled My Mother’s Diary, and in my first book, The Joy of Poetry (which is all about her).

One moment you are calmly drinking chai, and the next you are engaging in grocery retail therapy, while the poem jumps up and down and says, Write Me!
