Motherhood haiku, week 11
with Li-Young Lee’s “From Blossoms”
Over at Poetry for Life, we’ve finally gotten to our Boon! (It was hidden in the Inner Cave all along. Of course it was.) I share a beloved poem, Li-Young Lee’s “From Blossoms,” which is about peaches.
Fans of this poem: Rev. Tish Harrison Warren wrote about it recently in an article titled “Why Does God Keep Making Poets?”
Here’s my motherhood haiku to go with the post, the poem, and the boon.
