Tuesday, two ladies end chemo regimens
with the traditional confetti tossing and bell ringing.
Another woman throws a party
right there in the infusion room
mimosas for all.
“What’s the occasion?” Mom asks.
“I’ve never had a break from chemo,”
The Mimosa Lady says, “and now I’m stage 4.”
Mom announces, “I’m stage 4!”
“Then have a mimosa!”
Mom shakes her head.
“I’m can’t. I’m still fighting.”
The Mimosa Lady shakes her head right back.
“I’m dancing!”
